It was a lovely sunny day after a few rainy days so I took advantage of the weather and went on a ride to Avebury. I had passed through the town once before but wanted to be able to have a good look around. I had joined the National Trust and English Heritage on my last trip here in March/April and this gives free entry to so many interesting places and also carparks. I learnt that motorbikes and scooters park for free at the National Trust carparks.
Your little vespa seems to snuggle up so easily! The stones are great, aren't they - unlike Stonehenge you can get up close and really wonder how and why on earth they lugged the stones so far...
I think that is one of the things I like about Avebury is being able to interact with the stones. I will be trying to take photos of the Vespa at a variety of locations
