For me photography is so much about memories, so many shots transport me back to not just the moment I took the shot, but the period and place I took it in.

Now entering my third year of 365, as with last year, a lot of shots this year will be a retrospective. I still have 10+ years photos that I need to get organised, negatives to scan and so on. I am already having a blast revisiting my old images and sharing them here. My memories tied up in the photos is one of the reasons so many of my shots will be retrospectives, whilst stuck not traveling, revisiting my memories transports me away. That said I am hoping to get away somewhere interesting with work, even just for a few months. I think I was born to be nomadic, being in one spot for two long is very difficult for me.

I have been fortunate to work in some fascinating places and those travels led to an interest in photography.
I live in Canberra, but all my favourite photography happens when I am travelling, both domestically and overseas. I have been very fortunate that I have had the chance to travel and live in different locations in Australia and overseas through my job. I am hoping to get another work gig away for a few months, fingers crossed! I need some new photographic inspiration.
