I thought I was done with this project, but I just replace my dead camera with a new Canon SX210. The first images I've gotten so far are delightful. I need to figure out a color balance correction and then I think I'll be in the catbird seat.
I'm grateful to @girlie for the encouragment. I bought the camera she uses. Doesn't mean I'll get the same results, but I like what I see so far.
Another beauty. Did you zoom on this? I find the zoom better than average, especially for a P&S. I'm sure you can't go wrong with that great camera, aided and abetted by your good eye of course. So glad to see you've returned with renewed vigour.
@girlie Yes, this was an optical zoom. I started out farther away, but kept creeping closer. There was the body of a dead robin in the road. He must have dropped it in flight. I was between the tree and the road. I think he was quite unhappy that I was hanging out between him and dinner. Finally, I got too close and he flew over my head, snatched his robin off the road and flew off for dinner.
@uneven365 Oh crap, Evan. I've been off 365, been so busy with other stuff I COMPLETELY missed this. Dang. Do you have my email address. I thought we had exchanged them at one point, but now I can't find yours. Mine is linda@rangewriter.biz. I do hope you will email me the next time you're headed my way. I really screwed up. Hope it was a nice visit.
Excellent capture Linda. I'm glad you are going on.
