Intramuros. by leananiemand

Intramuros.

With the weather clearing I ventured out and walked along the seafront, past Rizal Park to what is known as “Intramuros” the old Spanish capital. A crumbling wall still half surrounds the area and although it was mostly destroyed in World War II it was an interesting area in which to wonder about.
The sunlit exit really draws you into this shot - great capture

Marvelous textures and leading line. I always find myself wondering how I could take a shot like this and have the light beckon but not blow out!

Love the capture of what looks like a very old structure. Light and lines add to the stone texture.

With the storm passing, there IS light at the end of the tunnel!!! I guess it would be safe in the wind, but don't know about water flowing through in a storm surge!! That would be scary. Great capture!!!

Kind of a creepy location, but an interesting study of light and shadow. I like the arc of light on the ceiling at the far end.

Wonderfully done!! Yes, the light at the end of the tunnel, but it does make you want to linger in the darkness a little longer! I like the definition of the leaves on the ground...

This is magnificent! A FAV! Besides the light and dark, the fact it is such an old structure is great too!

So good to hear that you were safe through all the devastation. A wonderfully gritty street shot.
