Opal dreaming by leggzy

Opal dreaming

An old truck that was once used out on the opal fields of Lightning Ridge in North Western NSW. I love the way it's just been left there, out in the middle of nowhere, in all it's barrenness...I also loved that it was right beside that fabulous looking gum tree :)

Another of my older shots for my "Wind-Back Wednesday" theme.

Today I discovered that 5 photos from my project have been selected for our local region's calendar for 2017 ...not bad considering there's just 12 main photos for the calendar....plus a few smaller shots made it onto the actual calendar page that's divided up into squares for each day of the month. So I'm feeling pretty chuffed! :)

These are the main shots that made the cut:-

Thoughtful juxtaposition leggzy - growth and decay. I can hear the screech opening that truck's door.

A beautiful composition - the truck definitely grabs the attention, so the gum tree is giving it a graceful genuflection. Love the one good headlight, one broken. And would love to see future shots of inside the cabin.
