All that remains....

of Yan's store on the gold fields of Kiandra, is this beautiful old chimney.

Yan's was a general store that operated from 1860 - 1940, selling essential goods such as food, mining equipment, clothing & building materials at very high prices during the height of the gold rush.

I just loved the setting with the rolling hills and the chimney there in the middle of nowhere ...and, of course, the storm clouds too :)
