St Patrick's

Catholic church - Caragabal

Another church that I can't find much information on - only that it was opened in 1934. I'm not sure if it's still used - Caragabal is a sleepy little village with a population of about 200. While I was there, there was not much happening around the place, so I got the impression that it is yet another church out in these rural areas that is no longer used. It's a beautiful old church & I thought it was quite big in size, considering the size of this tiny village.

Ideally, I'd have loved to get my shot so that it included the entrance door to the church, but the trees that you can see to the right of shot made it impossible unfortunately.
An amazing building standing as you say in the middle of nowhere. Looks very dry in the area too.

I love the pov. A shame to see that it is no longer in use :)

I visited a church recently where I had the same problem. The doorway looked really nice but I just couldn't get it in the shot. This is another beautiful old building :)

Loads of churches in this style in the north west of England where I grew up leggzy. Obviously a universally appreciated design.

I like how the bottom of the church blends in with the colours on the ground. Does look a little bit neglected, at least from the outside area. Lovely building though.
