St Luke's

Anglican Church - Manildra

This is another church from my 250km adventure last Friday. Situated on the outskirts of Manildra, a small rural town that is well known for it's grain milling. I haven't been able to find out any information, besides a few clues at the church - A foundation stone that was laid by the Lord Bishop of Bathurst on 14th December 1908, and also a sign outside the church that said services were on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th Sundays of the month.....not sure why it just didn't say EVERY Sunday! lol But at least it is still being used.

All in all, a gorgeous quaint little church.
I was thinking the same thing :D :D Beautiful building again. Your trip has certainly been worth the effort :)

Another pretty church- I love the crosses cut out in the eaves and the beautiful hinges on the doors. I guess that means if there's a fifth Sunday in the month folks get to sleep in!

You are doing well in church hunter, I wonder how religious Australian are nowadays.

There may be months when there are 5 Sundays, so I presume, there will be no services on the 5th one. Very sweet church localised in all that lovely solitude.
