You are right but are they eatable?
Is your mom picking blueberries in Canada or In Finland? We ate yesterday "mustikkamaitoa" . But a blueberry pie is best :)
Today we will go and pick up cloudberries and hope that brown bears are not picking berries in same ground. Plenty of bears are in this area coming from Russian`s forests. Usually they are very shy and we can be picking our own berries almost side by side but I don`t feel very comfortable in their company :)
I wish you lovely Sunday Leila!

@lehy Yes the nanking is an edible slightly tart berry, most people use it to make jelly. Mom & Dad live in Sudbury Ontario. My brother lives in our childhood home near a community called Wanup, they go there to pick berries. There are black bears around the area they too want the berries. Are the cloud berries same as lingonberries? Thank-you for the warm greeting, I'll past them on. Have a wonderful week.

Cloudberries are not same as lingonberries.
Unfortunately some other couple was picking up cloudberries when we went to the swamp and we let them be and we picked up blueberries instead more faraway :)
you can see cloudberries here:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rubus_chamaemorus
you perhaps know better this name : bakeapple
