Church of St. Walburga by leonbuys83

Church of St. Walburga

A very old and beautiful church in the city of Oudenaarde, Belgium named after the patroness of the city.

Building started in the 12th century in (early-)gothic style but the church was partly rebuild in the 15th century in Brabantine-gothic style. The church also has some baroque elements added in the 17th century. The church was heavily damaged during the first World War and again in WWII. Wonderful capture of this gorgeous church! It's hard to wrap my head around something built that long ago, amazing!

Magnificent architecture, rather an imposing building. Nice composition to be able to get it all in the shot.
