I´ve joined a new photography course, 4 lessons/meetings and after each one I get a "homework" assignment. Rules are: no editing (so sooc JPEG, no cropping) and preferably shoot in M mode. The theme for the coming two weeks is: backlight and my subject is: fence. I'm having no problems with shooting in M-mode but I'm the king of tilted horizons so the no-cropping part is going to be a challenge.
Nice silhouette of the thingy on the fence. It reminds me of an artists paint palette. The course sounds quite interesting. I recently did an internet based course but you only had a few days to get your pictures taken and sent in although you could submit old photos that fitted the theme. It was a theoretical webinar on the Monday and the practical on the Thursday. Interesting content and I did learn a fair amount but I am not convinced that full manual is always the answer.
