Posted this shot yesterday and had two suggestions. The first from Janice @janiskay thinking she'd like a little more light on the plate. So using the radial filter in Lightroom I got rid of some shadow and upped the exposure a tad and she was so right . Thanks Janice ... the second suggestion asked if I could get rid of the noise which I also was able to do in lightroom. Yep, I think it is now a finished photo. http://365project.org/lesip/year-3/2014-11-25
I compared the two extensively. In your first version, the subject (for me) was the candle and the glass, and the plate as a supporting element. In this version, it switches to the plate for me and the glass was relatively lost to the background. I don't promote that either is better or worse, just passing along my personal viewing experience in case its of any use as you craft your images. The noise in the first image went completely unnoticed until I studied the image in detail from a technical perspective. Both are incredible images, I fav both
Both are incredibly able. But I do like this one slightly better. I like the wam atmosphere this one seems to impart. Nicely done in truth you should do your art to suit you no one else. But trying the suggestions of others might open you up to new ideas. And just maybe you will like them too.
