The City Survives Such An Unfathomable Loss

It's still so hard to imagine what happened here. My friend just couldn't bring his camera up. The world can be a very scary and unforgiving place.
A powerful capture.

It must be awesome to see in person! Wonderfully clear shot and the choice of B&W makes it very dramatic!

I think the B&W is a very good choice for several reasons. Great image full of emotions.

A very moving scene. I can identify with your friends emotions. I visited Ground Zero about two weeks after the event, will never forget it. I cannot possibly imagine actually witnessing it occur. The memorial is very nicely presented in your image.

You've caught this so well. We visited about five years ago, and I like seeing it complete. We hope to go back

Fabulous POV. It's rather overwhelming to stand there, knowing that two giant skyscrapers used to fill this space and that it took all those people with it when it fell. Reading those 3000 names was so sad. Have to FAV this one!

This is a very complex image, for me... both visually and historically. I can understand why your friend could not pick up his camera. On the photo side, there are terrific lines and reflections here. Wonderful POV. Thanks for posting it.

Normally we use converging lines to bring us to a point, I like the way you have used the converse with the diverging lines encouraging us to see the wider scene.
