By The Waters Edge

Took the kayak out on the lake after filling the bird feeders at the park. Found this heron walking the shore line . I couldn't believe how long he stretched his neck. Gave him the look of a mini Great Blue heron.

I do believe all herons have the ability to stretch their necks out. I used to love watching them when I could walk the birding trails.
