When you just don't feel right and you're waiting on your covid results. There are signs that the cats at the National Zoo just might have been infected. He did sit up, yawn, stretch and go back to sleep. Normally finding him sleeping is a little disappointing but with the news announcing that the cats at the zoo were not feeling well and it could be covid I thought this was perfect.
I actually drove to the zoo Sunday morning arriving when it opened at 8am and got some pictures of the pandas before getting my hand stamped (you still need advanced tickets for the zoo) and walking to the metro to get shots of the In America: Remember memorial on the National Mall. Then hopping back on the metro and walking back to the zoo. Going back to the car and switching back to my 150-500 lens and exploring more of the zoo for a few more hours. To say I was exhausted by the time I got home was an understatement but so worth it ....
I definitely got tired just reading about your day! I’m glad you’re making the effort though because this is a beautiful photo! I didn’t know animals could catch Covid. I certainly hope that’s not the case here!
@cashep19 the tigers are waiting results ... I have yet to be tested for covid ...knock on wood...would definitely have been home quarantining if I thought I might have covid.
