Welcome To My Picture Perfect Sunflower Field by lesip

Welcome To My Picture Perfect Sunflower Field

Last nights sunset pictures had me dressed in jeans and a long sleeve shirt plus Off perfume to limit all the mosquito kisses. Had to go back today for the picture in my head. I know mid day is not a photographers time to shoot but I enjoy shooting anytime and the place only had three photographers and a painter there . Prime times it is crawling with visitors. This is just about SOOC since I now know to use flash in the bright of day.

Have a great weekend my son and daughter in law arrive tomorrow for a few days. Can't wait since we haven't seen them since December...
Love this image!

This is wonderful Leslie. The blue sky and clouds are gorgeous behind all those lovely sunflowers. And very creative composition. We have a farm that plants fields of sunflowers and holds a festival every year donating it's proceeds to Make A Wish Foundation. I can't wait to go, you've inspired me.

@summerfield thanks I hope one day you get to see and photograph in a field. I still pinch myself with my good fortune of having it 40 minutes from the house.

@lesip - i found a sunflower patch near my house, but there are houses in the on one side and playground on the opposite side. and they're just beginning to open up. will have to make do with that for the moment.

@khawbecker great be sure to go ... They plant 5 fields so I need to find the others. This one is the closest off the road(parking lot) I think. I think some of the fields are planted later. If I do and they do bloom later maybe we can meet up ?

@lesip Leslie, Let me know. I'm traveling in Iowa right now. I wonder whether I'll miss the bloom season. I'll check into it when I get home. :)

@khawbecker found two more fields yesterday. One is just beginning so thinking August bloom. I came to the beach for a few days to get away from my obsession with them... lol
I've never been to Iowa , looking forward to your pictures.
