Thought 57 lite candles on a cake might make an interesting photo. Now to find an inexpensive cake in case it doesn't survive the photo shoot. Cashier comments on my 3 pack purchase of candles "That's a lot of candles" . Find the fire extinguisher to add a funny element ( hoping that's all it's used for). After lighting all the candles I get a few shots before the flames get a little scary and I blow them out. Bob comes home from work and asks who bought me a BD cake. He feels bad that I bought my own cake till he really takes a look at it and says PHOTO? ( it's a candle melted mess) LOL
I am out of focus on purpose, 57 is OLD......
Things I learned.
1. Do not get a cake with whipped cream icing
2. If you tilt cake the wax will flow all over the tablecloth and BD candles melt fast.
3. How the get wax off a treasured Happy Birthday tablecloth.
4. You can still eat the cake if you don't mind the taste of wax.
Happy Birthday to you! love the born in '57 turning 57 and lol at the things I learned. ( I think if you put the tablecloth in the freezer it will help flake the wax off and I'm sure theres a way to pull the wax color or oil out of material.
What a great way to celebrate your birthday. I love your photo and all you wrote about it. The way you captured the flames and the fire extinguisher are such cool ideas. You look great. Happy, Happy 57th, Leslie. FAV
Happy birthday Leslie. 57 is NOT old! Hope you had a lovely birthday. I thought it was funny when your husband said 'photo?' That's what my husband says when I buy myself flowers! Great shot. Very creative and a lovely souvenir.
@sianipops flaked off what I could , used half a roll of paper towels and an iron to lift it off the tablecloth and onto the paper towels. Hand washed spot in hot water and dish soap . Threw it in the washer and it came out looking like new... Life is Good.... Thank you for the BD wishes...
Fabulous shot!
You are right , you're only as old as you feel and thankfully I feel very young till I look in the mirror. LOL
