A visit to the United States National Arboretum today with my photo friend Rebecca. It's 412 acres and I think we walked most of it. The magnolia trees are blooming now. I believe this was a rose magnolia tree.
The excitement there right now is the pair of eagles that returned. The park put up a camera just in case and now everyone is watching them in the nest on-line. Today the first eaglet was born. We were able to see the nest from afar and watch one of the eagles fly out of the nest. Oh, they have named them "Mr. President" and "the First Lady". Wonder what they'll name the two babies?
How exciting to see my squirrel picture made the #2 spot on the TT. Have a wonderful weekend my friends.
