A girlfriend and I signed up for a Skipjack Sailing tour out of St. Michaels, Md. through a local recreation park. The trip was for seniors so I guess 61 does have it's advantages. LOL After days and days of rain we wondered if they would have to cancel. Turned out to be a beautiful day. This is the first mate getting ready the hoist the sails. The captain has been an oyster fisherman for over 40 years and he never dreamed he'd have to lead tours on his boat. The life of a fisherman isn't easy but it's in his blood and he loves it. In Maryland you can only fish for oysters in months that contain the letter "R" .
On our small boat cruise in Alaska, the crew had worked boats all their lives. There was no other life imaginable for them. I like this man's intensity.
