Newsprint by lesip

Newsprint

Bob pulled these out of his bottom dresser drawer yesterday and this morning I couldn't resist snapping a picture before heading to the beach. I put them on the garage floor and it does look a little like the moon. LOL Bob's 50 year old papers.
The Washington Post printed it's first paper in 1877 and is still publishing today. Although the paper is still in print, the digital curculation in 2018 was 1,000,000.
The Evening News out of New Jersey was founded in 1883 and sadly ceased publication in 1972. Bob said they were visiting his grandmother in New Jersey when this paper was bought and brought home to live in a drawer for 50 years.
Very nice

Very apt at this time! Do you think they were there as 'liners'?

Well framed! Great way to display these keepsakes. I’ve enjoyed watching several of the Apollo documentaries in the past couple days. Quite amazing what we accomplished back then.

Thanks for sharing these. And thanks to your husband for saving them all this time. They made for a great photo op. (And the garage floor was the perfect backdrop.)

Wow... that's so cool that he kept them. I was a little over a month old when man landed on the moon!

Very cool. I think I got rid of (gave away) some old magazines of this event a long time ago.
