Bell Curve

2nd in series for 'One Night Stand' (low light) challenge. Only light was daylight (after sun dropped below horizon) diffused through gauzy curtain. Was pleasantly surprised what 30 sec shutter speed did at this ISO and ap.
Very cool shot.

Textures superb, bell is quiet but you are drawn to the clanger and can't help hearing the sound it makes somehow! Do you use this to summon the family indoors for meals??,

@tishpics Lol - no Patricia (or do your prefer Tish?) I've got a triangle on the back porch for that! I think this is an old school bell.

Good shot. You can see the texture and the heaviness of the bell. I shall have to try a shot like this with my handbells. It is about time I gave them a clean.

I love the detail the B&W bring out! Awesome lighting!

@orangecrush LoL Jerry - it was pretty bad lighting truth be told! Gotta love slow shutter speeds! Thanks for your comment. I'm off to check out your stuff for this challenge of yours!

@fannyb Actually Fanny - I'm getting a better idea, but I think that takes years - I hope that someday I'll be experienced enough to calculate the settings I need to capture a more exact representation of what I'm picturing in my head - in the meantime - I'm loving when it works out and even more when something unexpected happens!

A really nice shot for low light, particularly at f:16 and low iso. Good contrast in B & W
