Cooking date night

Working full time I don't find I have time to make healthy sinners so we are trying to get alot prepared on weekends so it's easy during the week.
Great colour pop with the yellow pots. Meal prep definitely helps to lessen the week day load :)

@amy_sweet_september thanks I agree but sometimes I just want to stop on the weekends.

I always think of doing this, but it's more often than not. But when I do prepare ahead I always think, I should do it more often :-). Luckily my partner and I share the cooking, so it's not too bad.

I also love the color, and the alignment. I have never been able to do more than one casserole in a day, but I have started to think it would save me trouble if I started making mix-and-match ingredients in bulk on the weekends, so I could throw things together more easily.

@blackmutts tbh we only did the soup. We just boiled the pasta and then actually put it together today (the next day).

@overalvandaan for sure unfortunately my husband works late and my kids are hungry within 30 minutes of getting home so I have to be prepped or they end up having peanut butter for dinner.

I like your pots! It is really hard to balance a family (especially with young children), a job and running a household! When I was in that phase I had a really great cook book that had all these base recipes that could be added to other food to make casseroles, soups and stews. It made life a little simpler. Sounds like you've figured out how to do that too.

@olivetreeann we are still figuring it all out but that sounds like a useful cookbook.
