Spiggie Loch by lifeat60degrees

Spiggie Loch

About 10 minutes too late in arriving at my favourite photo spot when the weather is bright and calm in the winter months.

New tick for my list of birds today was a Killdeer  which I'd never heard of and had to be pointed out to me. While looking like a Ringed Plover it was obviously bigger.
What a lovely calming picture. Well done :)

Beautiful! Fav. (BTW, I just noticed your user name - to give you some relative sense my photos, I am at 66.8N and above the Arctic Circle.) Love following your view of your world.

@jetr Joan - Alaska is on my wish list of places to visit. In the 70's I chose Alaska for a school project. On writing to the University, would it have been in Anchorage?, the information they sent by post was fantastic.

@lifeat60degrees University of Alaska has several campuses, Anchorage, Fairbanks, and "Southeast" which includes Juneau, Sitka, & Ketchikan. You probably wrote to UAA. We are well north of all of those! Not on "the road system" at all. C'mon up for a visit!
