There is an expression in these parts "between weathers". Today is one of these days - couldn't have been more different than yesterday and it's forecast to go back to wind and rain so enjoying today out at Catfirth.

The birds rushing away are a pair of Mergansers.

Love the light in this picture. I have visited friends in Orkney but never ventured to Shetland. There is something special about remote parts of the world, which keep a precious individuality.
