Angel Within

There’s an angel within us, with a mischievous side
You know when she’s sneaky, by that glint in her eye.

There’s an angel with in us, late nights are a fling
She reads lots of books and crochets lots of things.

There’s an angel within us, with a soft gentle gift,
Of listening wholly and providing a lift.

There’s an angel within us, gathers the big and the small
No delineation, a genuine love for them all.

There’s an angel within us, who’s crafty and smart
She strong and time-tested, she gives from the heart.

There’s an angel within us, who’s funny and coy
She lights up a room and fills us with joy.

There’s an angel within us, who might “break your back”
But more likely “I love it” and throw her hands back.

And if you’re quiet sometimes, and don’t make a fuss
You’ll feel a light touch, the angel within us.

@Weezilou My Gram passed 5 years ago. We just buried her ashes this weekend. 50 people showed up! She was my best friend my whole life! I was the only one who got to speak this time- very proud! Thank you, Weezie for your kind words!
