Savoy

Meet the newest addition to the family!Isn’t it a beauty? It is a mint green Imperial Savoy 620 film camera (circa 1961) Very little info on the web about this 'lil plastic camera.

"Imperial was a main camera brand of the Herbert George Co. Chicago / Illinois, a company founded by Herbert Weil and George Israel around 1945. In 1961 company ownership changed and the whole company was renamed to Imperial Camera Corp. . It made solid bakelite and plastic cameras - one of the first very colorful series of cameras."

Otherwise today has been so so, it has been cold and rainy and the rain really picked up when I was riding my bike home from work :( Well at least that really make me look forward till we leave for Indonesia – less than 2,5 months now!! Wuhu!

I have never seen a 'Savoy'. Its very cool. I will have to keep an eye out. They might be a bit scarce in Australia though.

@noo - I know they are the coolest! It also comes in red and salmon color, but they are very scarce I believe. I bought mine on EBay, and it was shipped to me from the US. That is always an option :) I seriously doubt I would ever have been able to find one here in Denmark.
