I was most amused to see this man sitting on a camp chair reading his book, on the sandy shore of the Thames at low tide. It looked like he was having some quiet & alone time in one of the busiest parts of London.

(...at high tide the water goes all the way up to the height of that pier towering over him...)

Love the solitary figure on the.. I hesitate to use the word beach:)

Good demonstration of the change in height of the river between tides. I remember reading it has one of the biggest low to high tide level changes in the country - no idea if that's actually true.
He does look very small against everything around him. Well seen.

oh I really like this shot - it really does work in b+w, you see the skyline so clearly this way. Very odd to see him sitting there - almost like an art installation or something

This shot is so captivating. I love it and sure hope he is out of there before high tide. Great in b & w.
