This is a really terrific photo. I like how close you’ve got to him and the texture of the background. I think because they are such slow flyers they wait until they are certain it’s necessary. I have seen this behavior before myself on my walks.
Oh my gosh this is to funy when I clicked on you and came to this picture I thought it was mine. I have a mourning dove on tar just like this on the 25th. LOL THough I think yours is better focused.
@grammyn He would flap his wings like he was going to fly, but then just walk a little ways...once he got tired of me following him, he decided it was fly time!
