Merry Amaryllis by linnypinny

Merry Amaryllis

My first amaryllis bulb is doing well so far - and yes, the tree is still up - because I only have bird ornaments, I've decided the Christmas tree is now a winter tree - it will be around for a while longer :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
What beautiful flower and great macro.

Yes, I can see the birds in the background. I even hear them! Why not keep it up all year? But you have to put the raven on it and let it join in the birdsong with its "Nevermore." Oh, great flower shot too.

A lovely pretty capture Lin, nothing like that around my home at the moment. I put my Christmas tree away in 2005, that's the year not the time last night, what's happened to the 12th night rule. OK I like this so a FAV from me.

Superb photo! I love bokeh...the blue is so pretty - a lovely contrast to the orange. P.S. If you add hearts to your tree, you then have a Valentine's Day tree! At Easter, add eggs. ;-) Aw, just leave it up all year.

Your Amaryllis looks very happy. My tree is still up as well. It's adorned in wood, metal and glass snowflakes as well as pinecones and tiny birds; I call it my Woodland tree. It'll likely be in place for at least a couple more weeks, or until the dust starts to bother me.

Such a lovely bloom. And a winter tree? Love that idea! Did you post a photo of it? I may have missed it.
