So I'm walking along and suddenly this butterfly lands on my knee. I freeze and slowly bring the camera around (thinking he'll fly away before I can focus) But he wasn't interested in leaving and I was able to get several shots. Maybe he was saying "goodbye for the summer - see you next spring"

I looked up what this would mean to the ancient Americans, and it said a brown butterfly landing on you means "important news." (I think looking this up is fun, not something to truly count on.)
Don't you just love it when Nature comes close for a moment or two. It's super that you had your camera in hand and caught your company 'on film'. Wonderful focus on him.
