I found these notebooks in my 2nd cousin's boxes of paper/photos. I'm guessing they belonged to her father, but I can't remember what he did for a living! The books are filled with daily numbers and amounts from the late 1940s to the early 1950s. I love a mystery!

I love old things like this with original hand writing. Looks like he kept good notes.

Nice shot of this. I found an old notebook of my father's when I went through his things. Most of the notebook was not interesting, but I did find his sketch for the orchards that he planted on our small farm.

I know that although you might not be able to figure it out just yet it is still a treasure to you and this is a great photo of it. My guess would be a painter
