This is the train depot in the town where I live. The funny thing is we really only have a train once a year during the Indiana State Fair. Old trains are brought from a town up the tracks from us and used to transport people back and forth to the fair. Maybe the town thought it would be like the movie “Field of Dreams”. Build one and they will come. Actually the city of Indianapolis has been considering adding commuter rail from the suburbs to downtown, and Fishers could be the first station. But this is Indiana, and it takes awhile for change to happen.

ahhh, the Fair Train. I remember when I worked off Lantern and 116th, and in August the frickin' frackin' Fair Train would hold me up every day on my lunch hour. I used to curse the State Fair mongers. But, I figure they have enough problems, as they would soon be in the Hospital with cardiac arrest after they eat all that fried "whatever" at the Fair.
@lisahutchinson@tralo29@mrssmith@tsburns2001 Thank you! @moncooga Chris, I love the fair, but I don’t go on the train. I will admit to partaking in some of the fair food, but the most fun is just watching the people.
@erikadee I’ve just really gotten good with my camera - NOT! I have Photoshop and have a very limited knowledge of how to use it. Baby steps! Between the camera and that, there is just so much to learn.

@digitalrn@olivetreeann@ggg@mccullars@shenay Thank you! I forgot to mention in my commentary that this depot is fairly new which is why I don’t know why they built it. I wish we had train transportation here. I would definitely use it!
Looks great in black and white! I live in Fishers and I've been wanting to take a photo of the train depot for weeks now for my 365 project. Your photo is incredible!!
I miss the Nickel Plate.
