Today I made cupcakes and nothing seemed to go my way from start to finish. I’m usually a scratch baker, but today I used a mix. I followed the directions exactly, but the cupcakes overflowed during baking and then sunk in the middle. Later as i tried to ice them, they were very uncooperative. This one rolled out of my hand and landed upside down, but it was one of the best of the bunch. I thought it might be fun to try and take a picture while dropping the sprinkles on it, but that didn’t work out so great either. Lessons learned today:
1. I need to invest in some good lighting for photography
2. Frosting and I do not get along.
3. I’m no Martha Stewart.
Here's what I learned about life in general. 1) Good lighting or not, cupcakes taste good either way. 2) Mix or scratch, frosting or no frosting, it all gets jumbled up in your stomach anyway, and 3) only Martha Stewart can be Martha Stewart. God created you to uniquely be YOU! All kidding aside, the cupcake is still quite enticing!
OK, lets all admit it, this cupcake is a hot mess. Makes you wonder how much time Martha Steward had when she came up with this idea.. or her assistant, for that matter :) In any case, this pathetic little floppy cupcake is picture perfect. You truly captured the FAIL effect :) I love the description...
