We woke at the crack of dawn today to the sound of the dump truck delivering our massive pile of mulch. That was just the start of a very busy day in the yard. We edged the gardens, trimmed branches, and pulled weeds. We then took all of the yard waste to a recycling facility called Green Cycle where you drop it off in huge piles based upon what it is - grass clippings in one pile, branches in another and so forth. Then we mowed, dug out old bushes and planted new ones. While digging out the bushes, I cut the invisible fence wire so while Bill made repairs I started the mulching. It’s only late afternoon, and I’m exhausted. I came in to take a break and the rain started coming down in sheets. Looks like we’re off duty until tomorrow when the serious mulching begins. (And yes I did take a few breaks to run around the yard taking pictures in the process!)
It's nice that you are keeping a photo journal of your gardening work! It will change so much as the summer gets into full swing. It's a great piece of work.... the collage and the garden.
