Our cat and dog were sitting at the door this morning staring intently in the same direction. I followed their gaze and spotted this little guy enjoying a snack among the daisies. My daughter used to call them “fatmonks”. (Apologies in advance if you happen to be a monk and take offense.) I know chipmunks can be garden pests, but they sure are cute! As long has he provides cheap entertainment for my furry children and does not eat my flowers, he’s welcome to stay as long as he wants.
I didn't know they ate bugs- I thought they ate seeds and roots. Eww- a June bug too! Well aside from the dietary stuff, he's a cute little fellow and I feel the same about the ones who romp around my yard. As long as they stay away from the plants and eat the seeds I put on the ground, they're cute. When they chew on my plants or raid the birdfeeder- it's war! (only kidding) Cute shot!
So cute - great capture! We have one who visits us every day. So far he has not bothered my flowers...in fact I didn't know they were a nuisance until I saw the comments.
