I got a good deal on berries at the grocery today. I love raspberries and blackberries. They remind me of visiting my grandmother during the summer. My cousins and brothers and I would take paper cups to the backyard and pick the wild raspberries that grew along the fence that bordered the alley. Afterward we’d chase fireflies with our berry-stained hands. It seemed to me that the small towns where all of my grandparents lived had an abundance of fruit and fireflies.
Strawberries top my berry list, but I love these guys too. Beautiful shot- I love the way the colors pop off the white bowl and background and the details of each berry bump!
I think it's terriffic detail, and I agree the colors really explode against that white background. We are berry eaters here, too, but my kids call the blackberries "ant berries", and seem to equate them with bugs. I think they got it from their Grampa John, some story from his youth, but I'm not sure what it is... they don't eat them anymore... :(
i love this photo
and the fruit looks like it might not stay in the bowl too long...
looks too good to not eat it up
