This is a totally boring picture, I guess. But it is the plan that will get me to the marathon start line. I hope we don't have any major snow events that get in the way of my long runs. Last year I ran 5 half marathons, 2 10 mile races, and a 5K. My goal was to get my time under 2 hours and my last race was finished in 1:54:48 so I was totally happy I beat my goal time. So far the plan is going well. I fell in a pot hole and sprained my ankle in December, but took some time off and am slowly coming back. So I now run with a head lamp instead of a flash light and that helps. I never in a millions years thought I'd get out of bed at 5 am, put on all this gear, and go running. It does help that my neighbor goes with me most of the time and we're going to do the marathon together. Long distance running is so much better with someone to talk to and pass the time. We ran 16 miles this past weekend, and that is the farthest I've gone so far. Hopefully the ankle will hold up and in a couple of months I'll have a marathon under my belt!
Wow! I totally admire you. I've tried to get into running so many times and I've run some 5Ks, but I just can't seem to push past that distance. It looks like you have a great plan laid out. Good luck!

@melissapike I think the only way I did the long distances is to go with friends. I found a group of girls and we all run together and it is a total blast, and my neighbor down the street wants to do a marathon so we're tackling it together. I don't think I'd get out of bed on my own, meeting someone makes a huge difference. But even if you don't go far, any running or exercise is great!

Following you last year as you prepared for the 1/2 marathons and 5k's, I'm sure you will do well and you have a great training schedule planned.
