This is today's annular eclipse of the sun, seen from Sunset Point, AZ. There are wildfires burning in the area, and so the air was filled with smoke. No special filters were needed for this shot, as the smoke did that job for me.
Awesome! FAV!
I love the landscape and the eclipse. I was only able to get the eclipse because the filter I used was so dark. Love how you got mountains and the sun1
@4giraffes@jbar Thank you! I drove north of the city about 45 minutes for this one, chasing the smoke from the wild fire until I could get the shot. Totally worth the drive. I could watch the event with no eye issues.
This photo is amazing. After just watching the full solar eclipse in Australia, I can fully appreciate the amazing site that eclipses (even partial ones) are . And the bushfire just add's to it..
@smallbirdonawire Thanks! The bushfire gave me enough of a smoke screen that I could look at the eclipse with bare eyes. And I didn't need any special filters for the camera. I'm sorry for the fire, but it made for a cool opportunity.
