Passionate flower

Visited a nursery that had a plant sale and saw a passion fruit vine growing over the one hedge. I always find these flowers fascinating. We refer to passion fruit as granadilla's, apparently it is a certain variety of passion fruit.

They are very interesting plants. At a former house we were lucky enough to have one grow over a pergola attached to the back of the house; it gave very nice cover, dappled light and beautiful flowers during the spring, summer and autumn. This is a good shot and has brought back nice memories for me!

Great to see this. I was visiting a garden last week and saw a spent passion flower blossom so its great to see one in full bloom.
