Three is a crowd

Stepping out of the house this morning, there were these 3 dried-up leaves next to each other, with no other leaf in sight on the paving. I suppose they were glad of each other's company during the night ;).

That is a very nice picture with an harmony of tones, an opposition of textures and a clever use of negative space. I feel the crispiness of the leaves.

I like the 'feeling' of this image - there's a real sense of dried up and exhausted about it, rather solemn and sombre.
