Yesterday my friend asked me to go with her to visit her parents who live in an aged care facility
I found this Hibiscus flower just unfurling on one of the bushes in their front garden and loved the colour.
The Stalmen was to one side which looked odd, but all the others were the same.

This is a beautiful Hibiscus! I am so used to big ones in California and now that I am in South Carolina I seldom see them and when I do they are small plants because they usually can't live through our - mild - but cold winters. And how nice of you to go visit your friends parents with her! I bet they really enjoyed having the two of you visiting.
I like that very much and prefer that softer tone to the more brash bright red... though.... the design of them is just amazing... could take pictures of them for hours... but tend to be greenhouse plants here.
