The locals at Pelican Waters, Caloundra, built this pole and shifted this Osprey's nest onto it from another location.
I was a fair distance away, so the shots I took weren't too bad considering.
I managed to get a view of his head in one of them.
First one I've seen.
Hope you like this.
Lois, thanks for the feedback and the background on your Husband. Pretty dangerous climbing around those lines I would think. That wouldn't be for me, but I know someone has to do it.
I know how much you enjoyed seeing this and sharing it with us! We have fledgling osprey's too, over by the golf course. I tried getting pictures, but now I can leave it to you! (Funny how we can live so widespread & many of us come up with similar pictures!)
I live on a Peninsula where there are lots of little island communities. My husband and I have been visiting those all summer and have seen lots of osprey nests. They are fascinating. I always wish I could see them up close, and maybe even from above. Your photos are beautiful. Thanks for sharing them with us. And thank you so much for visiting my Flickr pages. It means so much to me when someone takes the time to go a little bit extra. Hugs to you.
