Sorry everyone! I just had to include this one.
Left to right : Bernie's Brother Reg, his best man Neil, Mr & Mrs Bernie Parker, my sister Helen and my best friend Heather.
I have known Heather since I was 5 years old and we are still the best of friends today.
Love the hair on the girls.
I remember the girls doing a practice run at the hairdressers to make sure it would look right on the day :D
I remember I wore one of my Grandmother's brooches for something old :D
AND the hours of sewing the flowers on the bodices :0
It was the happiest day of my life.
There's so much joy in this picture that resonates through to this day! We "know" your sister through 365, and you've mentioned your life-long friend. Knowing you have sewing talent, I'm not surprised now to read you had a hand in creating those beautiful dresses! (I designed and stitched my dress as well...with heaps of appliqued flowers...I know what you mean about the time involvement!) So you think they tucked away and saved those dresses? I still have mine!
Looks like you had great weather and everyone is beaming. What a lovely memory.
P.S. Thank you for taking the trouble to go through my 2nd album and make comments. I agree those extra albums can be confusing but I had reached the point that I wanted to participate in the themes but I still wanted to record my life in pictures. Hence the 2nd album.
