These are bronze works of art at the foot of a set of stairs in Brisbane called "Jacob's Ladder".
(I used to walk up these steps to visit my specialist on the Wickham Terrace many years ago when I was pregnant - I must have been very fit :)
I took these shots from the car window while Bernie was driving, so did not get the stairs.

WOW! the steps at night are amazing. The Jacobs Ladder analogy sounds very Buddhist to me - the improvement and correction of manners :) I love how there are echos of the same in different religions...its the human connection I suppose.
What beautiful works of art! I like that Bernie is so helpful to you in getting the pictures...nice to have a helpmate! (It's in part how I came to change my profile name to include Ken! While we were out taking photos at dusk, he was letting me rest my camera on his shoulder to steady it...human tripod!)
