Bernie Chops Down the Mango Tree

Today Bernie chopped down our bowen mango tree - a sad day.
We planted it about 38 years ago & have had wonderful fruit off it for many years.
Over the past 5 years or so we have had no fruit & it has died from the top down, so we made a decision to chop it down.
Bernie did most of the heavy cutting today I pulled on the ropes to lower the branches.
He was fooling around when I took this shot :)
Our back yard will not look the same without it.

Oh. we're just having heaps of Bowen mangoes here in Darwin(see my photo today) - a pity this one was non-productive. Nice photo of your Bernie up there - hope he's sure footed.
