Today we called on our friends of 30 years who live at Pottsville in northern NSW.
We had not visited them for some time due to distance & time constraints.
They were surprised to see us, so after much talking to catch up and a few cups of tea we were invited to stay for an evening meal.
We decided that fish & chips from the local shop were in order.
What a great night we had over a glass or two of wine.
The collage is of plants in their tiny back garden.
For dinner, we used plates from Jan's Mother's set.
They had a beautiful design & were English fine bone china.
Jan's Mother, Willemena Overall, is 103 years young & has just gone into a nursing home in the last month because she broke her ankle.
(Jan & her sister looked after their Mum in her own home until this time, with Jan living there fulltime over the past 2 years).
I really love this collage - I think it's the light & the colours.
Enjoy!
What an interesting collage. I love the way you wove the story of your day and friends into the composition. How lovely to have a friendship that has lasted 30 years.
It's so wonderful that you've stayed friends with the Denzil's for so long, Mum, and her Mum is still around to keep her on her toes. :) This is a lovely collage of their garden and your dinner with them.
@snowy@digitalrn@amyjriker@allie912@sarasdadandmom@mozette - thanks everyone.
I have am on holidays & am travelling to & from home this week from NSW, so I have not had much time to look at your photos, but I will catch up next week :)
