New, fresh, green leaves are appearing everywhere. The fat buds of this horse chestnut sapling in our garden are full of the promise of spring.

I took photos of these buds and leaves last spring so I know they didn't emerge until the first week in April in Scotland! Lovely capture of the freshness of that green.
