I don't know what's harder to believe: that it was one year ago today that I started this project, or that one year later I've finished it. I never doubted when I began that I would stick it out to the end, but some days certainly pushed me to my limit. Inevitably, a year in pictures must become a sort of personal photo-diary, and it's hard to believe not only how far I've come, but how far there is to go . . .
This project ends--- as it began--- at an interesting crossroads in my life. One year ago I crystallized a longstanding but vague dream of independence and creativity-based entrepreneurship; today I am almost 100% financially free and have the first steps of my business system in place. In one way it makes sense that these events should coincide, but it also feels like the daily documentary has stopped rolling right as the real action is beginning. To be sure, photography will always be an essential part of my life; whether "the road less traveled by" will bring me back this way again remains to be seen. Stay tuned . . .
Thanks to everyone who followed, commented, fav'ed, viewed, and above all, inspired my journey. I'd like to think my creative sense has been expanded, and that it was in part by the support of such a great community.
wow ~ congrats Lotus Flower! And so glad things sound to be working out for you! Have really enjoyed our online friendship ~ wish you the very best as you follow your path. Hopefully you'll be back ~ but you are set free from this project now ~ feels good, doesn't it =)
congratulations, it is a wonderful feeling to finish the year and great to look back over the photos of the last year and see the journey we've shared with our fellow 365ers
@sitiodown@lbmcshutter Thanks guys, I have really enjoyed getting to know you as well. It's amazing how quickly and closely photography can bind total strangers--- one of the reasons I loved darkroom classes in school. If any of y'all would like to keep in touch feel free to drop me an email at [my 365 username] (at) gmail dot com. Or friend me on Facebook@ http://www.facebook.com/sabrina.mendoza1
Now, that I finally found out your real name :)) you finish. CONGRATULATIONS!!! You were a wonderful follower and I always loved your comments. Thank you!! I will miss you here but I understand your decision. Good luck for your future and keep on clicking!!! All the best, Sabrina!
@sabrinaromahn Thanks Sabrina! =) It was great meeting someone else that shares our name--- don't know about you but I've only met a couple. It was great seeing a different side of the world through your project; I hope our paths cross again someday sooner than later. Best wishes to you and your lovely family!
