Missouri and Kansas farmland, a silo on every farm!
When we drove to Missouri and Kansas last week I was amazed at the number of silos on the farms and ranches. The largest cash crops are grains, sorghum, wheat, etc. These are just two of the farming and ranching states that make up the middle of America, they are something to see! This for @lynnz, she hoped to see the silos from my trip.
Interesting to see these massive silos, as a retired farmer I am used to what we had on our farm & on most farms in the UK. These would hold our cow feed & they were called feed hoppers. I think the farms in the USA are far larger than ours & have to store much larger crops.
Thank you so much for your comments. These farms and ranches were all up and running, there were so many cattle, many more than I’ve seen in Texas, really!
