I parked next to this tree at our local shopping center the other day. The wind was whipping the limbs around like crazy, but I thought the flowers were pretty and I loved the willow’s slim limbs and leaves. It must be hardy, to flower after our brutally hot summer!
Such a pretty flower in the desert willow. They have really thrived in our area through this heat. Maybe there is a reason for the word desert in the name. Smile.
@maggiemae these are native to the Southwestern US, they require very little water and do really well here. They can grow to be 30 feet tall by 20 feet wide. I’ve onky seen them in commercial landscaping here but if you had a large lawn I think they would be great by a house.
